Rough it up

Here's some random Chowder and Panini roughs for that Bluenana episode. Everything got so busy, I totally lost track of time...
We got puppies in February. Right now they are at the 5 month age. I got them to sit, stay, come, down and pee on the pads. Now I have them walking nicely on a leash and pooping outside. Phew, this is alot of work! I also painted some Tau Battlesuits. I've been craving for some actual painting since work is all digital. Built and painted some new Terrain and racked up some battle time versus my brother's tanks. Water bottle caps, cheese-it boxes & popcorn boxes can work wonders!
And I racked in some Wii Fit time too! Phew!

Geez, man--you really squeeze alot in a post, huh? Those rough sketches have great energy and movement to them--even without action.

...I'm so jealous of your painted box city!

i turn my back on you and what do you do? post a whole crapload of good stuff.

man, now that it has been how long since you got the pups, have you been able to sleep through the night yet without them crying? that fourth picture looks like you have to watch your step at your house or else you might step in a puddle of puppy.

wow, seriously, the things you can do with boxes, who needs legos?

Hey All! FYI, my dogs are pure bred Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Buddy likes TV & Bella hides under pillows.

Nice dogs. Those Chowder roughs are really hilarious. When I watched the bruised bluenanna I noticed some really imaginative poses that are even better than typical Chowder fare. Keep up the awesome work. (by the way what exactly are roughs, are they part of layout, boarding, or models?)

Hi MASTERK. Thanks for such kind comments. To answer your question, "character roughs" are rough model drawings before the "character clean-up" phase. They are designed key poses for the animators. Sometimes they don't need to be "cleaned-up". Roughs can also refer to rough backgrounds, effects...etc. Hope this helps.
